Macon, GA

Johnson-Felton-Hay house built in 1860 with all the bells and whistles, including indoor plumbing, which was unheard of at the time. Built 35 years before the Biltmore Estate, which also had all the trimmings. Jeff Davis stayed here during the Veteran's Reunion, pictured next.

Mercer University Law School, where Jeff Davis and family met and received the Confederate troops on the veranda on Nov. 2, 1887 during a Veteran's Reunion.
