Paducah, KY

This backery has been in Paducah since the 1850's. It's on the National Register of Historic Buildings. It looks like it was remodeled in the 1950's, but the inside is orignal.

A street near the docks.

New flood wall with murals of the town's history painted on them.

The River Explorer barge was made into a floating hotel and takes people on weekly excursions.

Four barges linked together. Two for living quarters, one for the engine, and the forth for I don't know what.

The lobby of the River Exploror. They gave the shore people a tour between 2:00 and 4:oo in the afternoon. It's very much like an ocean cruise except you can see both sides of the shore at all times. They were docked in Paducah for 5 hours. It's one of their regular stops.
